"Advertising Parco" 1969 - 2025 PARCO Advertising Exhibition Shinsaibashi Venue
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the opening of Shinsaibashi PARCO, the exhibition “Advertising Parco” 1969-2025 PARCO Advertising Exhibition, which was held at Shibuya PARCO in 2023, was held at Shinsaibashi PARCO.
This exhibition will reinterpret the history of advertising creatives for more than half a century since PARCO opened in 1969, and it will be a panoramic view from the current perspective.
Advertisement is a type of advertising activity of the company and a means of promoting it, but PARCO’s advertising works with top creators of that era for more than 50 years and communicates it as an expression that transcends the scope of commercials.
The venue is a structure where you can get a glimpse of the origins of Parco's advertising by going back to the four ages of "After the 2000s", "1990s", "1980s" and "1970s".
We hypothetically set keywords such as "prophecy" (1970s), "advertisement" (1980s), "Shibuya" (1990s), and "art" (since 2000s) that correspond to the transition of the zeitology for each area, and shape each era. The posters and commercials to be exhibited will be selected in a dialogue format by inviting two guest curators for each area, screening the contents of the dialogue at the exhibition hall, and also posted on the official leaflet sold at the venue.
