ーThis "Hikari Map" is a tour of the exhibition held in Tokyo last September, but in Osaka, the space at the venue will be large, so it seems that it will be a more fulfilling solo exhibition.

GOMA: Yes, the venue will be widened and the work will change a little. The score does not change at about 40 points, but the size of the picture changes and video works are also planned. I made a room with a map of the experience when my consciousness returned, but this time I plan to increase the number of rooms.

It will be a space where you can appreciate your work more closely.

GOMA: I hope you will feel more immersive. I'm going to prepare a chair. This is different from the exhibition in Tokyo. I wish you could see it slowly.

ーーThis time it will be held in Osaka where you are from, so your enthusiasm is a little different?

GOMA: That's right. You can't be embarrassed. There are many old playmates, people who have been watching my growth for a long time, and people who have been supporting me, so I hope we can exhibit unique to the local area that meets expectations. There's pressure in a good sense.

ーWhen was the work on display this time?

GOMA: I wonder if there are many things that I drew around 2020-2021. I was drawing around at that time (laughs). The music event has disappeared, so it's time to create a picture. I usually draw pictures every day, but I feel that the amount has increased considerably.

What is the size of your work?

GOMA: The large size is 2m70cm in height and 2m in width. The small size is about 30cm x 30cm.

What are the criteria for drawing different sizes?

GOMA: I draw every day, so I feel like that. Even when I'm traveling, I draw it in the hotel room, so in that case it's a small size.
