ー Isn't this exhibition a tour of Shibuya PARCO's GALLERY X exhibition held in June last year?

TAPPEI： All the works are produced for this exhibition. The work of the stuffed angels is linked (to the exhibition at Shibuya PARCO), but change the way you show it.

The title is "BRAIN". What is "brain"?

TAPPEI： I just came up with something (laughs). It doesn't have a deep meaning. I'm not good at using words.…。 If you think that you will continue to exhibit in the future, you will not be able to organize it simply (with a title). Also, when I was little, I was taken to the "Mystery of the Human Body" exhibition, and there was an exhibition where I touched the actual human brain with gloves. One of the memories of the city is that the memory is great.

What is the exhibition? Are they all framed?

TAPPEI： You were framed for both the first solo exhibition and the second time. But I felt a bit too much to do it in Osaka, where I created the base of my life (laughs). I want to make it look rough.

ーThis exhibition, including small works, has a lot of volume.

TAPPEI： Originally, it was planned to be 40 points, but it would be about 80 points including small works. Unlike the feeling of the exhibition at the museum, it can be cooled, so I would like you to come and see it casually.

Finally, what is the real pleasure of solo exhibition for TAPPEI?

TAPPEI： At the time of the solo exhibition, there are quite a few people who come to show me the tattoos I carved. I was wearing a mask during Corona, so many people who carved it at that time can't remember it. But if you look at the carved tattoo, you remember it. That's so much thought about each tattoo. It's bad to say, but I think that person himself is one of my works. I wonder if there will be more works at the venue. That feeling may be unique to tattoo artists.

- as if my child had come home?

TAPPEI： It's like a child who can't get in touch has come back (laughs). Even in Osaka, I will be in the hall as much as possible, so I would be very happy if you could come to see me. I also show works at the exhibition, but on the other hand, I would like you to come to show me tattoos.
