Ayaka Wada| QUI x Shinsaibashi PARCO Art Mikata (March 5)

Ayaka Wada| QUI x Shinsaibashi PARCO Art Mikata

There is no right way to appreciate art. But there are some tips to enjoy art more. Koho Suenaga, the author of "Art Thinking from the Age of 13" (Daiyamondosha), an art teacher who advocates "output appreciation" that explores new perspectives while freely expressing what I felt, is a series of art exhibitions with guests.
The fourth guest is singer and actress Ayaka Wada. We asked Mr. Wada, who majored in art history at university and studied art at graduate school, and asked for "Kansai Art Annual 2025 CO" (~ June 22) at Shinsaibashi PARCO.

I will continue to see the same work differently. Based on Mr. Suenaga's "Hints to change your perspective", we will intentionally change your perspective and challenge "output appreciation" for 5 minutes.

– Mr. Suenaga's "Hints to Change Your View"
・Feel the smell, sound, smell, etc. with the five senses
・Imagine by “transforming” characters and authors.
・"Imagine" the outside of the work or the parts that are not drawn.
・Change the "gaze" such as distance and angle from the work

Wada: First, I imagined the wind. It feels like the swaying and the trees, and you can hear a little noisy wind sound. Then I walked through the work with the intention of becoming an insect.…Although it is a very beautiful flower from a human point of view, it felt a little dangerous for insects (laughs).

Suenaga: The insect's point of view! It's funny.
I’ve changed my physical “point of view.” Mr. Wada was paying attention to the thread earlier, but when I approached it and saw it, there are really many colored threads in the red flower part.

Wada: The right part also looks like a dead color at first glance, but the light blue and pink are mixed and it is very beautiful.

Suenaga: I see. For example, the dust looks gray, but if you look closely, it is similar to that of fibers of various colors intertwined.
I also imagined the touch of that part. A few years ago, when I was watching the autumn cherry leaves with my child, the child licked it.…I wondered why I imitated it too. Until then, I felt only visually that it was red and beautiful, but when I licked it, I realized that the veins were stiff and powerful like the rubber of the leaves, and I felt like "This is a creature." I said earlier that it was like a bone, but I remembered the feeling of such a creature.
