"MIRRORLIAR FILMS", which aims to discover and nurture creators, is a new film production project that combines major and indie. This time, the first "Creators Talk Session" was held, and three founders of the project, including Ito Shu Tax, Takayuki Yamada star in Season 2's "The Little Star" and Shinnosuke Abe, who also served as the first director in Season 2's "point" (Mr. Abe participates online). In addition, Shuhei Matsuyama took the stage from "THINK AND SENSE", an actor and producer of this film, with Keiko Shimokyo, who is developing a project that makes full use of the latest technology, and had a close talk from the secret story of filming to the future landscape of the movie world.

―In the second half of the talk session, I would like to ask Shuhei Matsuyama, a visual artist for the exhibition "Moments of Life", which combines three expressions of film, ikebana, and digital art, to talk about cutting-edge technology. Thank you very much.

Matsuyama: We usually have a team of about 30 people called "THINK AND SENSE" and do digital art and spatial design at various places such as motor shows. Currently, programming is often used in the field of VFX in the movie industry, and software that can create an intuitive mechanism has emerged, not programs like traditional symbols, and it has become very noticeable. I also made the OP of MIRRORLIAR FILMS using a tool called TouchDesigner.

Regardless of occupation or genre, the philosophy of "MIRRORLIAR FILMS" is a unique omnibus, which is expressed with the concept that white light is divided into various colors, and finally one work is formed in a bundle. After analyzing Mr. Yamada's songs, the graphics are synchronized and moved according to the songs.

Ito: Can I use this software if I have a computer?

Matsuyama: That's right. The tool itself is basically free of charge, so if you have a computer.

Yamada: Mr. Ito, do you have a computer?

Ito: I'm an analog human being……。 Oh, but I recently bought an iPad.

Mr. Shuhei Matsuyama

Matsuyama: Like when anyone can make a movie, there are many young people in my team who watch YouTube and learn their skills on their own. I really feel that digital art and CG are in an era where the hurdles are going down tremendously.

Shimogyo: I also studied on YouTube and did everything from photography to editing myself. When I tried it, I learned that anyone can make a work without having to buy high equipment if they have an idea and motivation. Digital technology expands the range of expression, and I think it was born in a really good era.

Yamada: In fact, in Hollywood, movies shot with smartphones are also released. You caught the project in consideration of the era where it is easy to take the first step of movie production.

Ito: I would like Mr. Matsuyama to travel all over the country to spread this technology. If you know the technology, there will always be a creator who demonstrates extraordinary talent.

Matsuyama: If you know, it is a technology that can be used, so I hope that there is something that can be helpful.

Yamada: With the evolution of technology, the possibilities are really expanding. When shooting a scene of driving a car, it was a popular way to process it with CG using a green back, but recently the quality of the monitor video has improved, so it is said that it is shooting directly with the view flowing next to the car……。 It's getting very simple, isn't it?

Matsuyama: It was actually used in red and white last year with the technology called virtual production system. The angle of view of the camera is tracked in real time, and the video and lighting are programmed to link all in real time. This is one of the most anticipated technologies.

Yamada: Originally, shooting was a lot of money, but it might be covered by this technology. In that case, a lot of possibilities will expand.
