Li Kojin Itagaki solo exhibition "Love and Thirst." INTERVIEW(3/3)
Liko Itagaki solo exhibition “Love and Thirst” at Shinsaibashi PARCO’s 9th floor EVENT SPACE 。 While working as an actor, Mr. Itagaki also produced illustrations, sold NFT works, exhibited works at fan events, and collaborated with magazines to produce goods. This exhibition focuses on a complex canvas art that combines digital illustrations and oil paintings that came to be tackled with the shooting of the movie "Blue Period". I would like to share my first interview with you about this exhibition.

―I think there are many opportunities to come to Osaka, but what is your impression of the city of Osaka?
I sometimes shoot in the city of Osaka, but I think everyone is more familiar than Tokyo. There are definitely more people in Osaka to speak out. In Tokyo, there is a lot of feeling that even if you are shooting, you can see it gently from the shade.
―Osaka is coming from over there.
That's right. I usually talk to men and people, and I thought it was completely different from Tokyo. It's a very flat impression.
―How do you spend your time when you come to Osaka?
When I come to Osaka, I usually have a fixed takoyaki restaurant and return home.
―You have a decided koyaki restaurant.
Yes. When you come to Osaka, eat takoyaki there.
―By the way, Umeda is called Kita, and Shinsaibashi is called Minami and Osaka. Where do you often go?
Which one is it? It's Minami. It's probably Minami.
―What was your impression of seeing the Osaka venue?
I think it's interesting because there are differences in each venue, such as the size of the space, the color of the floor, the place where the gallery is located, and I think it's interesting because it changes the viewing environment. I'm looking forward to seeing you at this Osaka venue this time.
―Finally, Osaka will be the last venue, but please tell us your feelings at the end of the solo exhibition.
I never thought that I would have such an opportunity, so I was able to do a solo exhibition this time, and I think it was a really thankful time for receiving feedback from customers. There was a lot that I learned from my experience of the solo exhibition, so I would like to make use of it if I had the next opportunity.
―Finally, if you have anything you would like to challenge or work on in the future, can you tell me?
This time, I created a work that combines digital and oil paintings, and I felt a lot about the possibilities and fun there, so I would like to continue working on it in the future. There were a lot of things I noticed and good things through my first solo exhibition. Once again, I felt that it was a work because I was playing an actor, so I hope that I can make use of it and challenge various things again.
