As one of the highlights of the Shinsaibashi PARCO CHAOS JAM ’24 event, DOMMUNE × SHINSAIBASHI PARCO SPECIAL PROGRAM 2024 was held over 2 days on October 10 & 11.
On the first day, "55 years of advertising between Eiko Ishioka and PARCO" and on the second day, "Music History of Hearing Media/Music History of Body Media" and a lot of audiences gathered for the content that was not heard.

The theme for the first day of DOMMUNE × SHINSAIBASHI PARCO SPECIAL PROGRAM 2024 is “55 Years of Advertising in Eiko Ishioka and PARCO”.
The first part of the talk was Hiroshi Kusakari, who has been working on Eiko Ishioka's work in the PARCO advertising department for many years, Koichi Kawajiri, who also edited the biography "Timeless Eiko Ishioka and its Era," and Naohiro Ukawa, president of DOMMUNE. PARCO celebrated its 55th anniversary this year, and we have left advertisements that symbolize each era, but Eiko Ishioka has laid the foundation for this history.
The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art will also hold the "Eiko Ishioka I Design" exhibition until December 1st, and first of all, the deep digging will proceed while talking about the real pleasure of the exhibition.
Regarding the “I design” attached to the title of the exhibition, “I design not only means that I design, but also the intention of putting me into the design.” It's also Ishioka's I," Kawajiri, who also supervised, told me.
And the story was about the encounter between Eiko Ishioka and PARCO.
Originally a Shiseido advertising department, she didn't want to work in advertising after her independence, and she wanted to challenge a wider range of genres such as books and movies. The reason why I brought her back to the world of advertising was that there was a strong love call from PARCO.
The large-scale vision of the floor will show a number of PARCO advertisements designed by Eiko Ishioka. The advertisement when PARCO first landed in Osaka in 1970 was also made by Mr. Ishioka, and a nostalgic commercial was also broadcast.
Seeing it, "Illustrations and live-action co-exist. As an experimental media, we can re-recognize that PARCO exists," says Ukawa.
Many other masterpieces are projected, and the talk of the three parties is also heated.
