Artist JACKSON kaki's VJ/Audio Visual Set project using real-time rendering system for game engine Unity, will be held as a collaboration project with PARCO.

JACKSON kaki participated in 2019 as the first student of NEWVIEW SCHOOL, an educational program based on the XR project “NEWVIEW” sponsored by PARCO, LOFTWORK, and STYLY, and for the first time, touched on 3DCG, VR, video expression, and art. Based on his experience, he is a multi-artist who has pioneered a multi-faceted career with video artists, artists, graphic designers and performers.

This project was realized when JACKSON kaki won the PARCO PRIZE at the XR Global Content Awards "NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024" held in 2024. Using 3DCG, with the theme of "imagining for different forms", we will show audio visual performance using virtual reality and visual representation that can only be achieved with 3DCG. The venue will be held at Shinsaibashi PARCO in Osaka and Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo.

The Osaka edition is set in Shinsaibashi PARCO in collaboration with DJs and artists based in Kansai.

In Osaka and Kyoto since the Corona pandemic, new music aesthetics and communities, mainly in their early twenties, have emerged, forming a unique cultural sphere. The movement has spread not only to Kansai but also to Tokyo, showing strong momentum.

At the center of the culture is the reality where "weirdness" and "heartedness" live together, which cannot be captured by words such as underground or alternatives. JACKSON kaki himself was also greatly influenced by this new sensibility, and the visuals and sounds of this project are deeply reflected in the senses.

How does “ancany” appear in commercial facilities = PARCO to erode and transform time and space? This project is also an attempt to observe and record the phenomenon.
